Search engine having problems
Hi all. Our search engine is currently unresponsive. This is because the server provider is having issues. Until they have resolved their problem we remain offline.
BitLord 2.4.4-309 for Windows is released – 4k screens supported
Finally we released a huge update for our windows version. Almost every part of the program has been improved, including support for 4k displays with scaling enabled. Scaling in Windows up to 200% will look super crisp.
Here is the full list of changes since last version:
- New LibTorrent version upgraded to 1.1.0 ()
- Changed our skin to be a little easier on the eyes.
- BitLord Player has been updated to support more video and audio formats. You should no longer have trouble playing any files.
- 4k screen support / support for scaling in Windows.

BitLord 2.4.4 for Mac – Now with Retina support
Hi all! We just released a big new update for BitLord OSX with Retina support and a new LibTorrent version upgraded to 1.1.0 (Release notes)
We also decided to change our skin to be a little easier on the eyes.
BitLord Player has been updated to support more video and audio formats. You should no longer have trouble playing any files.
A ton of smaller bug fixes has also been made so hope you enjoy a much improved and prettier BitLord 🙂
BitLord 2.4.3-305 released

BitLord 2.4.3-305 has been released a while ago to a limited amount of users and is now pushed to everyone.
The big changes in this release are:

We have made some amazing improvements to BitLord recently. The main changes are:
– Allow skipping when streaming

BitLord 2.4.1-291 with languages, better streaming and many fixes
Finally we think most of the problems of the past have been solved in BitLord 2.4 so we are now releasing 2.4.1 with many improvements and new features. Here is a list of some of them:
– Added translations with many languages supported. We are working on translating everything so there will be some missing strings.
– You can now change the size of the fonts / text.
– Added stream buffering progress, so you see when a torrent will start playing.
– Browser options are added in preferences. Clear cache and history.
– Scrollbars are made black so you can more easily see them.
– Added new stream button in Add Torrents dialog
– Subtitles active even when streaming.
– Many bug and crash fixes.

Our biggest update ever, BitLord 2.4.0-270, is now available!
So what is it we have been working on for the past year? First of all we decided the future is streaming. So, we have been working hard to improve our streaming capability. Now using our built in VLC Player, named BitLord Player, you should be able to start streaming any video or audio file pretty fast. Of course this depends on your internet connection. We will keep improving our streaming capabilities over the next months to make us the best torrent client in this aspect.
Secondly, we knew the old BitLord 2.3 and older versions were pretty slow to open and at times to operate. We have now changed platform from GTK over to Qt. This will help improve performance in all areas.
Thirdly we have given BitLord a new look and hopefully a more user friendly user interface.
Along all of these big changes we have made several improvements to the way the whole program works. The latest libtorrent is now running in the background. The video player has been upgraded with the latest codecs to help play even more files.

BitLord 2.3.2 with video & audio streaming
We just released the newest version of BitLord 2.3.2 with added Streaming support. So now you can stream torrents before they are 100% downloaded.
This is an early test of our streaming capability and we are still working on improving it. So sometimes playing files that are not fully downloaded will not work well. Hope you’ll have fun playing around with it.
